Home of The Q Man : 1962 Ford Galaxie 500

Now I have this 1967 Ford Galaxie LTD. I bought this car in September of 2003 from 'Oldies But Goodies' in Englewood Colorado. It has about 67,000 miles (possibly 167,000) on the original 390 cubic centimeter engine and is in good running condition. It has been repainted but all the hub caps and trim is original.

In 1967 the 390 engine was offered as a 390 Thunderbird Special with 300 horses. It has a 4 BBL Autolite carbeurator with dual exhaust, an alternator and a 3 speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission. The engine runs good and the old mufflers make it loud as hell.

The tires are good with clean white stripes and good treads. Hubcaps are clean and shiny.

The interior is mostly orignal including dome lights, dash, steering column, and AM radio that doesn't work. The dash has a few cracks, the dash lights do work well, the fake wood is peeling, but not all of the instruments work. The blower doesn't blow but heat does come out.

The enourmous trunk can hold my custom car cover, some tools, oil, brake fluid, shammy, spare tire, bumper jack, trash, and several college textbooks same as my old one. This trunk is not as long but it is much much deeper.
